Oklahoma County Sheriff P.D. Taylor Won’t Give Raise to Deputies Gets Busted by County Budget Board

WATCH SHERIFF P.D. TAYLOR GET BUSTED BY HIS FELLOW OKLAHOMA COUNTY

OFFICIALS

Oklahoma County Sheriff P.D. “Sanctuary City”Taylor is asking Oklahoma County’s elected officials for more tax payer dollars. Three resolutions were proposed before the budget board to raise the annual pay of the deputies at the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office. The pay raises are badly needed and none will dispute that, but where that money comes from is as important as where it needs to go.

“You have total authority to give everybody raises if you choose to with in  the budget that you have within the dollars you have. You don’t have to ask us… Don’t turn back money to us at the end of the year, because you  can spend that on raises for your employees and we would applaud that I think.”

– Oklahoma County Clerk David B. Hooten

Fortunately for Oklahoma County citizens, some conservative elected officials stepped in to mention that the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office is leaving money unspent in it’s already appropriated budget, rather than giving their deputies and staff the pay raises Sheriff Taylor so insists the tax payers of Oklahoma County need now afford.

Sheriff P.D. Taylor, we all agree that the deputies of the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office deserve a raise. These documents show substantial funds lapsing each year within your current budget. Enough of this budget is left unspent annually on average, in fact, to easily give each of your detention officers the $5000/yr raise requested in your most ambitious proposal. If these raises are so badly needed by your deputies and staff:

WHY AREN’T YOU WRITING THE CHECKS? YOU HAVE THE MONEY. NO MORE EXCUSES!
